Hello all,
Ive searched the board for advice on what to do regarding my furniture- is there a decent selection there? Its probably a necessity to leave my couch etc here, but I absolutely love my bed, it probably weighs about 100 lbs- how much would it cost to ship? I also have a 60" TV that I absolutely love- should I ship it, buy a new one online and have it shipped, or just buy one on the island (less selection, probably a lot pricier)?

Many places rent fully furnished including pots pans etc.

You can ship items by the palette if you do not have enough items to fill a 20' cargo container. You would have to call shipping companies and I believe the cost is based on the cubic feet of it.
As far as buying items down here, at least on STT, there is a good selection of electronics and furniture of varying prices. Depends on what you are looking for. Don't forget everything is going to be more expensive than in the states, so it would be smart to research retail prices of what you are going to need to buy vs what the shipping charges are.
