So, I purchased my plane ticket today to get me to the USVI. I am flying from Las Vegas (my home now) to Houston, then from Houston to San Juan, Puerto Rico. I am a 22 year old looking for a lifestyle change and will be moving on April 1st to paradise! I can't wait!

Does anyone know the best way to get from San Juan to the USVI? How much would it cost, etc?

Also, I am looking for a new home in the USVI. I am only bring what I can carry on a plane (clothes, cash, etc), so I will need to either find a roommate or get a furnished place 🙂

I am also looking at the job market in St. Thomas and St. Croix.

I could use all the help I can get. And I won't forget about anyone who lends a hand 😉 I'm looking to make a few friends down there before I move.

Thanks in advance,
Brandon

It is very easy to get from San Juan (SJU) to St. Thomas (STT). You could take one of the smaller airlines, like Cape Air or Liat, or you could take the seaplane Seaborne Airlines. You could also take one of the larger airlines, like American, Delta, United, etc. And there is a ferry, I believe. Not sure about the dates and times for that, though, as I have never utilized it. Average is probably $100, one way.

Actually LIAT does not fly from SJU to STT. They fly to other islands further down the chain in the Eastern Caribbean. The ones that fly from SJU to STT are: American Airlines/Eagle, Caribbean Sun, Cape Air, and Seaborne. I would prefer to take Seaborne because it's more fun, but when making a connection, it would be more convenient to take an airline that leaves from the airport as opposed to the seaplane dock in Old San Juan.
