Can someone give me name of reasonable place to stay for a week in Christiansted? We are trying to plan a trip to Stx in the very near future. We are interested in buying property there. Should we rent a car or have a real estate agent helps us get around?

I highly recommend Carringtons Inn which is right above town on Hermon Hill. They are fabulous people and a terrific breakfast is included as is the open bar. Definately rent a car (jeep) so you can get around by yourself. It's really easy to get around if you grab the little pocket map at the rental agency.

I highly recommend getting a vehicle. We have always gotten a car from Midwest Auto Rental. 877-772-0438. They are very competive, about $200 / week, and very nice to deal with. They will have it waiting for you at the airport, and you just leave it there when you leave.
I would also HIGHLY recommend Alexandra for your realator. she post on this site. Also VERY nice to deal with. We bought thru her last year, and would do likewise again if the situation arises.
