Just curious!!!!! What stateside lenders finance mortgages in the Virgin Islands? I was able to find these on a local website. Any others?

I don't know of any others offhand, but I can attest to Flagstar. I've been dealing personally with the VP of sales on an approval just within the last few days. He's super friendly, fast and competent. And their rates are in the low 4s (plus PMI) with only 3.5% down on an FHA. Feel free to PM me if you want his name and number!

Schaffer Mortgage Corp. is out of Florida and they have an office on St. Thomas. I worked with Dave Osborn who was fantastic. It can be a bit unnerving doing a home purchase from the states, but Dave went out of his way on several occasions to make sure everything got done. Our mortgage is with Flagstar Bank and we got a good rate on a 15-year loan. I imagine the folks at Schaffer Mortgage could tell you what other banks finance loans in the Virgin Islands.
