Microsoft call scam
I'm guessing that most of you on this board are relatively tech-savvy, but just in case, I've been hearing of a few victims of a Microsoft call scam lately. Indian voice, trying to get the victims to buy virus protection. Spread the word - it's a hassle.
i dont know anyone who would actually give info out over the phone to someone that called them, tech savvy or not
LOL...I played him for 20 minutes before he realized that he was wasting his time.
I've never heard the F word used so much after he realized that I was playing him.

It happened fairly recently in the VIs... It was in the news... The victim lost a few hundred dollars... Unfortunately, the person had a computer failure and received the call within about a day and got scammed...
