"Why include race into your comments?"

I used the phrase, "...mostly middle age and elderly white people..." to point out that the jury did not share the demographics of his fan base, and so were unlikely to have cut him any slack due to an affinity for him.

well what ever happened only Michael knows. and i am glad that i lived during an era where he was an Icon. My mom had her Elvis and we had our Michael.
As far as he sharing his bed with boys. where were their parents while this was going on???? Letting it happen so later they could sue? Extortion rings a bell.

Changesinlattitude, I could respond to your insult with anger or sarcasm, but, I'm just going to reiterate my point. YOU DO NOT KNOW THAT HE DID ANY OF THOSE THINGS AND A JURY OF HIS "PEERS" SAID HE DIDN'T not to mention the countless children & their parents that said he couldn't have! So to constantly accuse him of something he was cleared for after a trial by jury (which included evidence being presented on both sides) doesn't make me an idiot... or suggest that I am even acting like one. One could never appreciate being accused of a crime you didn't commit until it happens to you... So your point of view is not at all surprising. Since we'll all have our opinions (very strong ones)... R.I.P MJ

Anita you're so right and I insinuated that with the judgment day comment but thanks for coming out and saying it.

i think him paying $20,000,000.00 to a family of one of the children says he felt guilt of something

way to many 0's after the 20

I have no doubt about what he is. When something is so extremely questionable like this an it involves children I think you should trust your instincts. Everything points to him being guilty. Could really care less if any jury was dumb enough to let him off. Pedophiles are extremely devious and think about little else but how to hurt children. Its amazing to me that all these people worldwide that condemned this man in the press now suddenly love him. Its very odd to me. Not even a tiny bit sad he's gone.

My all time favorite song. I love the blues. "Who's loving you". Google little Micheal on Ed Sullivan Show. Awesome.

My all time favorites (I can't decide between the 2) are You rock my world and Dirty Diana!!! My sister & I just absolutely loved the fact that Micheal was still able to move the way he did at 40 in the rock my world video & the move he did walking forward while holding his hips when the beat drops... OMG... AWESOME... I am glad to have lived during his time in history!

4 Decades, 13 #1 Hits, 13 grammys, The highest selling album EVER (and they're saying nothing else even comes close)... RIP MJ

Dear Anita:

Your even-tempered, sage replies are one of the things I enjoy most about this board.

Michael Jackson, rest in peace.

Best,

Islandlola

eldove, Dirty Diana cracks me up! I had a friend who used to try to get that stuck in people's heads all day every day and it ALWAYS worked... you would have 30 people in business suits in a corporate envirnment singing "Dirty Diana! Nah!"

Dirty Diana does get stuck in your head!

I couldn't watch the Tribute but I'm watching clips & highlights. To see his daughter put things into perspective about his humanity. I cannot believe his casket was there... The Jackson family shared something so private with all of the world, I'm so proud of them for that! Most celebrity families keep it private & leave the fans to mourn to themselves... They shared his service with the world. My thoughts and prayers are with them.

They shared his service with the world.

Yeah, for a price for the 18,000 tickets they sold.

It was a show, and not a memorial.

i think the tickets were GIVEN away in a lottery type vibe.
some however, that received tickets, sold them or attempted to.
i felt the program was in no way a show.
i found it to be very tastefully done.

They gave them away. I did see on the news that someone from Australia paid $2000 for two tickets.

Thanks for the correction because 17,400 were given away & it was absolutely beautiful.

I cried watching the memorial,it was indeed tastfully done. My heart aches for his children (especially Paris) and his family,I can only hope that now in his death he feels the love of the world because I truly love him. I was thinking yesturday how I wish this was a stupid Ashton Punk'd,(and also how sick and twisted that would be) but how I wish he wasn't gone. Those dear children will hurt for him thier entire lives may they live in peace, you know as well as I do that they will stalked now and forever. I LOVE YOU MICHAEL!!!

Michael Jackson, his posters were all over my walls. Part of my youth. My favorite all time song, "Who's loving you". RIP Michael. An incredibly talented man. Nothing can take that away. I didn't watch the memorial. I cry over the simplest things so I didn't want to go there. I will miss his music and his contribution to the dance world.

I am sorry that he passed but I don't believe all the hype around his death. While I enjoyed him in his earlier years I did not like him in his later years. He lived a troubled life.

I think the work that Farah did in her last years was far far a better contribution to our county then Jackson did. Ans she did not get anywhere the air time that Jackson did.

So let him pass. He will be greater in death then alive!!
