I am a massage therapist licensed in Texas that will be moving to St. Thomas within a year or two. I am having trouble finding out what the requirements are for working as a massage therapist on St. Thomas. Can anyone out there who is a therapist point me in the right direction?

Contact DLCA, they'll be the ones to get your business license from and should be able to point you to anything specific for massage.

Good afternoon, csvalle,

I am a Licensed Massage Therapist in the VI (8 years STT, 2 years STX) - USVI requires proof of 500 course hours of education from a massage school, passing of national exam, HIV/STD course, current VI health card (food handlers card), police record check, tax clearance letter, Allied Health form (from Dept. Of Health) - your best bet is to enlist the services of Jodi Williams at I'll Do It For You (340-998-4774 or illdoitforyou2@yahoo.com). She can assist and expedite everything and she is well worth the fee she charges! Otherwise, the aggravation can be tremendous and it can become a very long, drawn out process. PM me if you would like more info.
