Given the track record of the VI Gov't it would not surprise me if in a few months the pompus governor will say revenues from the sin tax are not as great as they had anticipated and he'll come up with yet another taxing scheme. Translated ---a fair amount of the sin tax revenue ended up in individual's pockets.

That would be a sight to see!!!!

However, with 2 limo$, 2 retro fitted SUV$ and 4 $urban$ (minimum), it's a bit of OVERKILL! Yes, we're broke but the VI can afford certainly afford to keep him (and his cronies) being driven and living in luxury.

I believe you're right, Jumbie.
We haven't seen the end of increases.

No Alana, we haven't seen the end. The sin tax bill is only going to raise 25 million over the next five years. Assuming there isn't a drop in business caused by the increased prices.(and there will be, look at Philadelphia) They overspend to the tune of 800 thousand every day.
They just hope it will allow them to start borrowing again. They have no interest in cutting spending. so of course this is just the beginning.
We will hand St. Martin and the BVI everything we haven't given them already.
It will come tumbling down, it's just a matter of when.
We can only hope that Nov 8 2018 brings in a complete transfer of power.
They have exempted a large portion of their voting block from the new property tax increase. I expect with the coming new taxes they will do the same.
