We have a couple of dozen people coming to STX in August for a wedding. They were all planning to stay at Chenay Bay in part because of the on-premises restaurant. Now we hear the restaurant may be closed or closing. Anybody have any info on this?

Not sure if they are closing but I heard they were under new management again. The entire resort is definitely for sale.
I did notice a new sign out front by the road which I had not remembered seeing previously. We just miss hamburger night on Wednesdays. Can't believe they stopped that as it was always packed and a good, inexpensive evening out with friends.

Just went by there earlier today. The previous restaurant management is gone but the hotel management company has taken over the restaurant. New menu coming soon.

The management company is there only to keep the place running at the bare minimum for the receiver on behalf of the banks that own it until a buyer can be found.
Don't expect anything fancy...
