GOOD DAY, could anyone give me some input on the listed Timeshare above....I've been offered to swap weeks in Cabo for the STT resort and was looking for info from anyone who might have stayed or visited there...ie; location to beaches, accommodations, views, which rooms are preferred etc. Any / All comments appreciated

Hello,

My husband and I just returned from a 2 week stay there. As for the rooms, they are individually owned so some are better kept than others. We started out in room 318 but soon moved. They are in process of renovating areas (which the unit above us was under construction) Lots of loud noises and disturbances. However after complaining we were moved to 324. I think this is the BEST room there. About 35 feet from our door was the pool. Nice pool and jacuzzi. EXCELLENT view of Magens Bay as well. Most rooms do have at least a partial view of Magens. Rooms were decent and clean with small kitchens in each unit. Not luxury though! Grounds were well kept. These are a few of the pros.

Now for the CONS:
This property is NOT on the beach at all. It is on the mountain side overlooking the beach area. So no walks to the beach! Only one restaurant! To top it off, the only one there and the staff ALL "walked out" one day. Not to return! So the mgr have to serve hot dogs and bergers poolside for 2 nights. Then they still only offered a partial menu once it opened again. I heard this was not the 1st time this happened either??? (read other reviews) You really need to rent a car to get around and parking is terrible there. You will have to walk and there are lots of stairs. Next, ice machines rarely worked. Internet "forget it" they say they offer wi-fi. Never happened!! I waited everyday hoping to be able to connect. We stayed for 2 weeks and never had it even once. BUMMER! Next, remember they will probably still be renovating. Just request a room away from that area. Next, CATS & CHICKENS!! Hope your a fan of both. They are everywhere! No kidding, they're 30+ cats on this property. All are well fed too. They don't bother anyone and I guess they keep rodents down? Families of chickens run freely as well. And YES the roosters crow in the middle of the night at times. WEIRD. Next, no lights in pool area. Make sure you enjoy the pool during the day or don't mind swimming in the dark. Restaurants are not very close at all. Driving at night is not advised unless you are familar with the roads and hair-pin curves!

Now after saying all that, i would still recommend this resort. Overall we had a great time there. All staff was nice and tried to help any way possible. The views are breathtaking!! The water and beaches are awesome (you just have to drive to them) but so worth it!! SCUBA and snorkeling is some of the best ever seen. This was our 5th visit to St Thomas. We will be relocating there from Texas in June. We have stayed in better resorts and some about the same or equal to Magens Bay. Just depending on your needs and expectations I think it would be a good swap. Good luck!! Hope this helps.
