Beware! Apple will not ship to the island and even Amazon won't ship Apple products, not even a USB cable.

True, but it's easy to buy a used Mac (and any cables or parts you may need) and have it shipped here from a stateside dealer. I did it just a couple of months ago, no problem at all via USPS Priority.
