Dear friends and supporters,

Lucky Paws Foundation invites you to celebrate with us Community Cat Spay Day and lend a hand for our 2nd Cat Food Drive to help off set the high cost of food for our more than 40 Cat Cafe locations throughout St.Thomas.

If you can help volunteer for a couple of hours please let me know as soon as possible at 340 513-1854.

Shifts are in teams of 4.....2 at the entrance and two at EXIT. Information will be available for people on S/N, TNRM, trapping instructions and Tshirts will be on sale. Set up and clean up crew also needed. Media coverage will help educate with: You feed them; we Fix them campaign!

Spay/Neuter programs are the key to curbing homelessness and reducing shelter euthanasia rates. That's why it's so important to offer free and low-cost Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) services especially to those members of the community who care for community cats. Thousands have already participated and many more still need our services!

Our goal is to reduce animal homelessness and stray cats make up a large portion of the overpopulation. Ignoring the problem doesn't help reduce their numbers...on the contrary.

Dr. Treasure Schultz DVM, from Rock City Pet Center is the only veterinarian on St. Thomas registered with Alley Cat Rescue and working with Lucky Paws Foundation and the Humane Society of St.Thomas to make this day a success and our No Kill dream a reality! In addition, Rock City Pet Center is offering the best rates in St. Thomas to spay and neuter your own companion animals!

What: Food Drive When: Saturday May 30, 2015: 10:00AM -5:00PM Where: Front of Cost U Less

Can't make it? Any donation will be appreciated and put to good use in feeding the Cat Cafe colonies! A tax deductible contribution receipt will be provided.

Our 15th S/N clinic held on April 18 at Rock City Pet Center was once again a huge success thanks to Dr. Treasure Schultz DVM and the fantastic team of rock steady, dedicated professional volunteers.
20 cats and 10 dogs were spayed and neutered bringing the total done through our clinics to: 1,245!!

I take this opportunity to thank each and everyone of you who took the time to write an editorial for the Daily News or to the Board and Management of Magen's Bay Authority (MBA) in support of the Cat Cafes on their premises. Finally after months of waiting a reply arrived via email yesterday: The cats can stay!!! MBA is now officially part of the many responsible resorts and businesses who care about our environment and the community. Take a look at a new european website with an eye on the Caribbean for animal friendly resorts: http://www.kreolischerhund.de/Hotels.en.php .

As always, thank you for your support and confidence in our mission! Working together we can change the statistics....one stray at a time.
