Lots of Questions
PS If you find Minnesota shitty, you might want to alter your expectations
Why do you say that? And yes.. My expectations have been ever changing as I learn more.
Maybe ask your doctor for a 3 month prescription to get filled in the states right before you leave. That should hold you over until you make up your mind if you want to stay on island.
Safe housing, utilities, transportation and food cost a lot more here. And then all the activities are expensive. Zip lining $100, trip to JvD $150, bar tab and we talking $4K per month.
What really upsets me is the fact that tomatoes taste like cardboard, peaches like cough sirup and letuce turns brown in 24 hours. Perhaps I have not figured out how to shop for better quality fruit and produce.

Because that's what you posted
Thanks for all the information. I literally spent all day yesterday (in shitty Minnesota) doing more studying about making my move. I'm extremely excited. I'm sure I will have more questions soon and I'm sure you guys will be able to provide me with more anwers.

Yes I follow that. I just don't see the relation between me thinking Minnesota is shitty and my expectations? One's perspective of their current living location is definitely a subjective experience.
Grass is always greener on the islands.
The weather is much better for sure!
Without getting into a huge discussion, what are the dominant political views on the islands? I'm mainly asking because another issue I have with my current living situation (Small town MN) is the prevalence of racism and narrow mindedness that is still so abundant even in 2016.
Political views? The islands are run by Democrats. Does that cover it?
democrat-if you are a republican-tell everyone you are a democrat

Don't tell the registered Republican Emporer Mapp that...ssshhhhh
The "republicans" here are further left on the spectrum than many democrats on the mainland....of course so are many "republicans" in office up der. And don't get me started on the current crop of candidates. It's almost like they learned from our last election.
I consider myself a fiscal conservative social liberal. I'm not really affiliated with a political party. Politics are such a joke nowadays in my opinion.
The gov here is fiscally liberal and socially conservative.

Let's hope we don't have another drought this summer, it wasn't very green last summer.:D
