Hello,
I will be visiting St. Croix from late Sept. thru mid Oct. We haven't bought our tickets yet so I am not sure of exact dates yet. I am a massage therapist of 10 years and am looking to borrow or rent a massage table for some of the time we will be on island. As my husband grew up in St. Croix and his father now lives in St. Thomas we come to the USVI on a regular basis and it would be nice to have a contact that I can use consistently for years to come. However just to have a table to work on for this trip is really what I am hoping for to begin with. Thank you!

You can check your table in at the airline as a "medical device". Call to make sure with the airlines, but my wife has done this before without issues.

Yeah we won't be doing that as I will have a 1yr. old and a heap of dive gear we have plenty to travel with without adding a massage table to the lot. But thanks.

Are you coming here to vacation or is this a pre-move trip? Probably either way, I would recommend calling some of the local massage therapists to find out about licensing, making contacts and possibly borrowing equipment...

We come down to the usvi once or twice a year sometimes for about a month at a time, so just vacationing. My husband had a bad accident about 18 months ago and I'd like to do some massage for him while we are there and I have some extra time to focus on his injury. We have discussed traveling with table many times but in the end it really just isn't practical. I've given some thought to contacting some M.T.'s in the area but am a little hesitant at calling someone only to ask to borrow or rent their massage table rather than booking a treatment with them. But I will consider doing that. I thought I'd post here in hopes a M.T. might see it and offer up or someone who knows a M.T. Occasionally massage therapists will have a table laying around if they have gone to work at a spa or have gone into another line of work. Also sometimes there are people out there that love to receive massage so much they will buy a massage table to have at there house for therapists to use. I guess I was also hoping to find a contact we could use for future visits.

have you thought of shipping it here ahead of time. might be the way to go since you have family here.
