Looking for those retractable crowd controller things... STT
Looking to rent or buy (locally) those retractable belt like things for my boyfriend to use at his work for black friday lines outside. Need some way to section off and make the line more organized. We saw videos last year and it was a disaster LOL!
Not sure where you will find them to rent or buy. They have have the stanchions at Restaurant Supply in the old Electronics Unl. building but doubt that. I have some with plastic chain and cement fillrd buckets with a loop on the top. text me at 514-0744 and I will show you a picture.
They use them at airport, banks, ports, and post offices. Scotia closed some branches so what did they do with the ones they had? I'd check with them first. Ron's idea is a good one if you can't find some to rent.

Just for reference 😀
I would go with Ron's offer.
Is OfficeMax paying or is your boyfriend paying out-of-pocket?
Are u trying to be ironic by posting the staples link LOL! Hilarious. We can of course order them but don't want to. Looks like Ronnie has our solution.
You caught me...LOL
It is very ironic and funny that Staples sells them and OfficeMax doesn't. They are competitors.
I just posted for reference for their name, description, and prices, not to buy them.
Ron is your best bet.
LOL nicely done. Too funny! Yea Ronnie has some home made one that we are going to use. Last year they had no crowd control and had thousands of customers. I think they opened late and had computer issues. The OMX is FINALLY properly staffed (been working on that for 8 months lol) and hopefully shoppers will start to see better/faster service.
By the way for all you crazy shoppers OMX is opening on Thanksgiving day from 8pm - 2am *Wink
Staples and Office Max are owned by the same company. Staples bought Office Max in Feb 2013.

No they're separate. Office Max and Office Depot are merging, is that what you're thinking of?
Office Depot Merger With OfficeMax Wins U.S. Approval
Office Depot Inc. (ODP)’s purchase of OfficeMax Inc. (OMX) won approval from U.S. antitrust regulators, clearing the way for the office-supply companies to create a single retailer to compete with Staples Inc. (SPLS)
The merger will be completed Nov. 5, the companies said in a statement. OfficeMax investors will swap a share for 2.69 shares of Office Depot under terms of the transaction.
I'm happy that Ronnie has a solution for AandA's boyfriend. Back on topic.
I stand corrected.
