Hello and Good Evening!!
I apologize in advance if I've posted this in the wrong category. I have it posted in Classifieds as well but I thought, perhaps, locals may not look at that forum very often.
We are two professional males relocating to St. Thomas as of October first of 2011. We arrive on-island September 28th.
One of us is 39 and an ex Wall Street-er and the other is 42 and deals in re-purposed, rare wood millinery. We’re hoping to find a nice, affordable two bedroom for about $1500, give or take utilities, close to either Town or the East End (or any other convenient location.) Neither of us will have a car at the outset so we are hoping to find a place near transportation and the safari line. We’re also both big cooks so a full, modern kitchen would be great too. Furnished, one or two bathrooms. Some sort of view and outdoor space would be fantastic as well!! There are no pets coming with us and we are both hyper clean, responsible and honest. Private owners are definitely preferred. Also looking to find affordable weekly housing for when we first get there. High-speed Internet connection is an absolute must. (pretend the storm didn't happen! lol)
Both of us have excellent rental, personal and professional references.
I genuinely hope to hear from someone. We’re both incredibly excited for the move and are dead serious about it. You will not be wasting your time by contacting us! Looking for a 3, 6, or 12 month lease.

😀 Glad I brought you a smile! Yep! We've done the PMV and understand what we're about to jump into!! I've actually been spending time in STT since I was a child and really can't wait for the next chapter of my life to unfold. I've been in Chicago and NYC for the past 20 years and am just ready for it. Been planning this move for about two years now, things are all wrapped up and I have my ticket for September 28th! Exciting!

That's awesome!! I have been visiting the USVI since I was a kid, too. I have been planning for 3 years for a move there and I will be on STX the beginning of next year. I'm SO ready to leave Nashville, Tn. I have been here 10 years and the concrete jungle has to go. (I live and work downtown, BTW) The ONLY hesitation I have is centipedes... Ha! However- I have a dog and I can buy cans of raid- so I can get over that! I can't wait for the end of Jan/ beg of Feb to get here. I'm SOOOO ready... Good luck and we should get together for lunch when I get down there! I will have to go to STT to get my server/ hairdresser's permit so no excuses! Hopefully the ferry will be up and running by then! 😉 Good luck with the move!! 😀

Thanks!! You too!! I actually have several close friends in Nashville....Nash-Vegas, as I like to call it. THere's Bambi and Ray Watt. THey own a Pilates Studio called WIllow, and Tracy and Jai Crawford. THey won a bar, but I'm not sure what it's called. You're gonna blink and you'll be here. Keep in touch and we'll do that lunch!!

Cool! Definitely look for me on here. THis thing is addictive so I imagine I'll be posting quite a bit. Yeah..Bambi and I went to college in Colorado together way back when as did her husband. THey are quite literally two of my best friends in the world. They'll be coming down for certain. Take care!
