I am interested in wadges for lead carpenters on custom homes, with 25 years experince. Able to run any crew. I nam wondering, if my friend comes down will he be able to find a job? Curious to know what the income range is. Any information would be helpful and appreciated.

Likely to start at $15 per hour until you prove that you can work. If you are "all that" then $20-25 is about the most you'll see until you prove that you are not a drunk, stoner, or carpet bagger. Just get here and find out.
Keep in mind that the income tax here is less than the states so yer take home will be more. Expenses are way more than most places but liquor and cigarretes are less than stateside so yer ahead in that area. 🙂
If yer good you will never be out of work.
The quality of the R&R here is first class on a beer budget. Take the weekend off and go hit some snorkling spots etc.
