My wife and I would like to find some lodging in Frederiksted in October...not necessarily looking for a grandoise hotel or resort, something simple and clean......near the water preferably....
any suggestions?

When moving down here, my husband and I stayed for more than two weeks at SandCastle on the Beach, which is on the south side of F'sted. The rooms include a full kitchen and are kept very clean. The staff is wonderfully friendly, and it is right on the water (with fantastic sunset views) -- they have an excellent open air restaurant on site. There is also a pool and a fitness room. The hotel was going tthough some significant upgrades while we were there, so the rooms are probably better than when we were there in late May.
