Hey all...My move is in less than 10 days!!! I have faxed my resume to Journey's spa, Caneel Bay Resort and Frenchman's for employment consideration as a licensed massage therapist. I was wondering if anyone down there has any info on where else I can fax to before I move...Thanks!

Hello Juniper,
What about the Ritz Carlton - they have a spa also.
Good Luck, look forward to hearing how your move and getting settled in goes!!

You might even want to try sending it to smaller hotels without spas -- the Secret Harbour Beach resort had a relationship with a masseuse and promoted her services as a benefit of staying there even though she wasn't officially on staff. They would book appointments for her through their front desk, had her cards everywhere, and let her do a pitch at their weekly Manager's complimentary cocktail hour. Hotel guests got a better rate for her services than folks off the street, and I'm sure she kicked alittle back ot the hotel for their promotional work.
While it's not perfect arrangement, it maybe something you could make do with while looking for a staff spot at a resort or spa.
Good luck with the move!

Thank you both for the advice!! I looked up The Secret Harbor website and it did indicate that they have a massage therapist working there so I faxed over my resume. I'm going to look into the Ritz as well...just a bit hesitant because a friend of mine is a therapist there and he did'nt seem happy with them...I guess it's worth a shot though. I'm super excited and looking foward to getting down there and out of this snowy weather!! Thanks again...

I believe that the massage therapist at Secret Harbour pays rent for that space, not a kick back.
Definitely a better way to explain it, East Ender -- thank you for grammatically turning it from a sleazy concept into a respectable business relationship!
