Living in the hills

Greetings once again,

My wife and I are interested in living more up in the hills on the outskirts of the larger towns. I was searching in Sion Farm for real estate, however was told it is more suburban than what I was looking for.

Where would one look for a one floor, 2-3 bdrm, 1bth, with fruit trees, home, in the hills.

I know it may be asking for much, however why not shoot for the moon, I'll be moving thousands of miles away from here anyway, right?

Any guidance/assistance is greatly appreciated.

Jah bless,
jahson

It sounds like you are making a "blind"move...DO Not settle on an area to move to until you have spent some time on the island..You need to drive around, walk around and ask lots of questions...Golly I don't even know if I could make such a decision today and I Have been around more than you. There are places that you will like..But..until you walk around them you won't know. Don't let your enthusiasm get ahead of your good sense....

Sion Farm is the most densely populated estate on the island of St. Croix. Lots of red lights and heavy traffic. Christiansted is also congested.

I would rent a year before buying. Much of the island is suburban to remote and would fill your needs. Find a good landlord and rent for a while and take your time in finding a permanent home.

I would move somewhere in the rainforest. That's where I live, and it's VERY remote while very accessible to the town of Frederiksted.
