I LOVE squash soup. It better be as good as the mushroom!

Dinner at Salud was excellent as always last night; love the new menu.

I would also like to add Singh's to the list. I think they're on King street around the corner from Twin Cities. Not only is the food great, but the portions are out of this world. You can always count on enough leftovers for lunch the next day.

Had dinner at Salud this past weekend. The food was nothing short of incredible.

Planning to go to Cheeseburger's this Saturday...taking Mom out for dinner with the hopes of seeing Llewellen play (old singing compadre of my dad's) and hopes of Prime Rib too. Anybody know if this is still true?..Any input on their Prime Rib...? (Mom said she saw the ad in the Avis). Regardless, we'll be passing along our 'bucks' !

I've been doing my part going out to dinner and lunch more often then usual. What I have noticed in all the restaurants across the board is it seems like they are cutting back on staff and the service is really hurting. For example we went to Zebos last night and they had one waitress for the whole place, she had about 8 tables one one of them was a 12 top. If restaurants are going to cut back on labor the owners/managers need to get their rears to work and help out. I'm willing to help out the local economy but not if I'm going to spend alot of money and get bad service. When we went to Dashi last Friday the food was excellent but the service was a complete nightmare.

It's a tough one to juggle. The most important thing that diners can do is make reservations. Doesn't even have to be too far out, even same day reservations are fine. At Salud if we know the book is filling up we staff accordingly, prep more food, and brace ourselves for a busy evening.

When reservations look dismal then everyone is sent home and the one server left on the floor may not be in the right mind state to handle the dozens of walk-in customers that show up. Walk-in business is great but when everyone shows up at 7:30 without rezzies, it can hit the fan.

Juanita and Linda, by popular demand, we put the portabello and sherry soup back on. Along with a new salad.

Just FYI
