Musta been a good year for suing people. I thought she stopped doing the fireworks a few years back. But I don't live on the EE anymore.

The fireworks were awesome. Unfortunately they started during one of the rare periods we were actually asleep.

The music got louder after midnight and went on at least until 4:00 AM. That's when I finally passed out. Friends in Hope & Carton said they heard it until 6:00 AM. Talk about rude and inconsiderate. (td)

The fireworks here on the west end were of a different nature. I woke up at midnight and thought I was on a battle field. Guns going off everywhere! Crucian tradition. Load 'em up and empty the clips at midnight. Musta been raining lead. At least this year I didn't hear fully automatic weapons.

there is a sound ordiance. my point is this.....if anyone else in the neighborhood did that the police would have been called.

we got home around 1 and cars parked up and down our road.

and not just anyone can go to her party.....you have to be a "guest"

The most important person on island and beyond the law (which of course, the law helped to perpetuate for her taking her felony down to a misdemeanor - would that have happened to any of us?).

It was A New Year's party. This happens once a year. I can understand if weekly or nightly. I with Mike.

The point is that she is given preferential treatment.

The law is different for well connected rich white lawyers than it is for the common man.

There's no other "white lawyer" who could get away with that party, and there are always complaint calls to the police which get totally ignored..and it's not a little noise, it's outrageously loud and constant. Announcements about salt fish and breakfast at 4am, dance lessons in spanish at 5, on and on. More than one band so there are no breaks. If the restaurant across the road tried it, they would have been shut down in no time...but everyone in gov't is either afraid of LR or at the party.

Gosh I must have lost my invitation or I would have been there too......life is too short to worry about party noise on New Years Eve..

I think Ms Rohn is great to take on the bureaucrats, judges and government crooks around this island. It is obvious that she has had to fight the petty harassment from the government for 7 years. They could spend our money better, but we already know that.

Go get um Lee Rohn .....

Now I hear one of her neighbor's dogs got so scared during the fireworks that they broke a window in their house, and one dog is still missing...a professional fireworks display does not belong in the midst of homes on 1/4-1/3 acre plots...

i totally agree beachy. i forgot but i have a dog that is frightened of loud noises. poor thing,....i was out...

she thinks she is above the law. right who ever said if blue water wanted to have band (s) until 6 a.m.
it is just so inconsiderate of her.
well the old saying is.....what goes around comes around
with all the money she spent on that party she could have
a. given her poor employees raises
b. donated to a charity.

I don't know the woman but my interest was piqued hearing Iris' post and did a little search on Google. Did anyone else know that she was hiding away John Edwards' mistress and baby on St. Croix? Is this the same woman? Unbelievable about her manipulations with the courts as well if there is any truth to this story. As I said, never really heard of her before this post.
