leaving stories?
For anyone interested, the St Thomas Bacchanal holds a party every year somewhere in Florida where people who've lived on St Thomas, those with ties to St Thomas, anyone at all who's interested and those who still live here get together for a wild weekend of partying. A LOT of fun and a chance to meet many old friends and make new ones!

Huh? Please explain how I'm a "jerk" either in the immediate sense or "always".
probably because STX doesn't have a Bacchanal??

That can be the only possible reason which is plain daft. At the two bacchanals I attended in the late 90s, St Croix and St John were well represented. When I get back on my feet I have a next one in my future!
I have no plans on leaving at this point...with all it's flaws, I still love it here on STJ ! I was one who did many PMV's tried to be as organized as possible, moved here with my husband, 2 dogs and that 10K mentioned often. 9 years later...I still have my dog....yup Jumbie !
9 years is a good long time jummiesmummie
And yet...not long enough !!!!!!
lol, i know. it has kind of grown on me too in an odd sort of way. i never thought i would say that

Looks like an EPIC turnout with 135 attendees, so far!
We left STT after a month because of baby momma drama. We both regretted it when we got home. This was in 2014 and we are coming back this coming up December. They say everything happens for a reason and now looking back I am glad it happen because now that our "give a damn is busted" we are more committed and know we are not controlled by the EX anymore! We came to st Thomas and loved it, but I am thinking we will be going to at croix this time. My husband is a boat inboard outboard mechanic and I am a drug counselor and a dental assistant just trying to figure out where the best place for these jobs will be.. CAN NOT WAIT TO COME HOME!
welcome back. not sure about the mechanic but there are quite a few dentists in the area-not sure if any are looking but you can find the vi phone book online.
When I finally make it there I hope I'm there until my ashes are spread but If I am only on island a year I will cherish the time and not regret it. I will be semi retired on a modest pension and savings and still working wherever I can find a job because I do not want to be on a permanent vacation. I do not need much but the only thing I can think of that would send me back to the states would be for health reasons and the healthcare situation.
