Kitchen Counter Sale/Installation Recommendations
My sincere gratitude in advance for any recommendations (and my sincere apologies if I happen to have chosen the incorrect board for this!); I haven’t found this topic by searching past topics: Can anyone recommend companies in St. Croix who will sell you kitchen countertops, come out to your home to measure, install them for you, and remove the old ones? I received one recommendation from an acquaintance for a company called Armrey and would be so grateful if you have any other strong recommendations. I think I’ve heard that Home Depot can arrange for contractors to install items they sell, like tile, cabinets, etc., so I’ll check there as well, and would just love to hear whether anyone has had a personal positive/negative experience with these companies or any others. I would love to get a couple of quotes. Thank you so much!
Don't use Home Depot.
It'll take forever to get your order much less have them delivered and installed and this was prior to 2 hurricanes when shipping wasn't backed up and they knew what was actually in the containers before they unloaded them.
Had a friend that had a nightmare experience waiting 5 months before her kitchen cabinets even arrived on island. She'd already had old ones removed a few weeks after she placed order.
Go with a private company or contractor.
Sorry, can't recommend anyone on STX as I'm on STT.
Armrey/Gemini does the fabrication work in their own shop. Been there haven't used them yet.
Thank you so much, Alana33 and Scubadoo! I truly appreciate this. And I just realized that I failed to mention that I am on STX, but I think you deduced my location by the companies I listed. Thank you!
Armrey is the only game in town. They have measured for our quartz countertops. The slabs will be cut in Florida and then shipped to STX. Since we are purchasing the slabs - we will get the leftovers for other projects.
At least prior to Maria, Armrey measured and cut for Home Depot on STX.
Gobsmacking expensive.
So helpful, Gator’s Mom; I so appreciate your taking the time to share your experience. This has all been great to point me in the right direction and give me realistic expectations, everyone. Very grateful; I knew you all would know!
Armrey isn’t the only game in town for countertops at least. Italia granite and marble did a fabulous job for us and were very accommodating. Also had more selection on site. They were able to get us the color we wanted while Armrey was not able to. They are over by Napa.
This is incorrect. Bought a full quartz slab from Armrey last week, which they cut per my specs two days later. Picked it up myself.
Also as stated above Italia at Peter's Rest(?) has a much larger stock selection than Armrey. $960 for full countertop granite pieces. He has quartz on order. They cut and deliver.

This is correct for my circumstance. Armrey did not have the supersized piece of quartz I require for a kitchen island. It is being ordered from and cut in FL. I did not say that's how they work for each order - only this was my circumstance.
Good to know you can get a stone countertop for $960 on STX - or anywhere for that matter.
We weren't aware of Italia .....

This is all fantastic! I so appreciate this tremendous help! I just can’t thank you all enough for taking the time to share what you’ve learned from experience.
