I don't know if you guys who have been on the baord for a while remember, but I wrote earlier this summer inquiring about kidney dialysis centers in STX for my Mom. I wanted her to be able to visit. Islander messaged back with some good information. I just wanted to let you guys know that my mom received a kidney transplant last night after eight years of being on the list. We are praying that everything goes well and that she will be able to visit me in STX without having to go through dialysis. So far she is doing well. I am going back to the states for a few days just to check on things, Will keep you posted.

That is wonderful news! My cousin was on a kidney transplant list so I know how wonderful it is to finally see it happen.
