Juan Luis Hospital story in the AVIS
I'm a bit surprised that nobody has commented on the in-depth story of the Hospital in the Tuesday AVIS. If I were afraid to go there before, after reading the intrigue, the threats, the politics, and even a dead chicken, now I'd have to be unconscious to enter that place. Just a disgusting story of how badly things are here now. Anyone thinking the government is dysfunctional, read this article.
I was surprised that the story was well researched and well written - a step up for the Avis, well done.
Our hospital system is in difficult times no doubt. Bringing these issues to light, while further enforcing the concerns as to level of care, may only help by raising awareness not only to the general public, but to our entrusted leaders. Action is needed and this starts with positive support for those trying to make improvements, not those who want the status quo.
( And I'm thinking of investing in rubber chickens. A reusable, and lest wasteful alternative 😎 ).
Hello,
I want to read this article is the Avis available on the internet? I searched it butbthe only thing that comes up is the Source. Maybe someone could post the link? Thanks,
John
If you're on Facebook you can read the article via the photos here:
the facebook photos are pretty hard to read. Is there a way to buy an old copy around the island? or if anybody else have a better link on the internet?
Click "View Full Size" or "Options - Enter Fullscreen" on the FB photos (at the bottom) and you can zoom them as large as you like for reading.
I heard this evening that the next chapter of the story will be in tomorrow's AVIS. That is on Thursday.
Click "View Full Size" or "Options - Enter Fullscreen" on the FB photos (at the bottom) and you can zoom them as large as you like for reading.
Thanks JulieKay
just figured out this option.
What's worse, is local doctors and nurses are so mean and nasty to good, stateside help that they leave. I can give numerous accounts. We all end up paying the price for local racism.
