My wife and I are moving to St. John this fall, and I was wondering if there were many seasonal jobs availagle in the following areas - windsurf instructor, kayak guide, snorkel guide, massage therapist, restaraunt, or wooden boat building. If so, what sort of pay can be expected. Thanks for any help.

Not sure what pay to expect. For windsurf instructor you would need to contact the two resorts, Westin and Caneel Bay and see if they have anything - that is where you could also find a massage therapist and/or restaurant position. Restaurant positions also could be found in Cruz Bay. It is fairly difficult to find jobs like the ones you are looking for without being on island, and going into the establishments to inquire of jobs. Managers and owners for seasonal jobs want you here so they know you are serious and they are not wasting there time via telephone ect. You can find something seasonal as you are coming down during high season it is a matter of getting into the different business and asking and networking. Do that as soon as you get here.
