JOB WANTED
HI,
I'm a Hotel Management graduate in Montreal. I'm planning on moving in the islands very soon, however i'm having trouble finding hotel jobs, in Front Office/Reservation. Can anyone help me with my job search? I would like to get more informations on the hotels in the US Virgin Islands, and which island is better to go to. If you have any other suggestions i'm happy to hear them, I want to get to know the people in US virgin islands. I'm looking forward on hearing from you all soon. Thank you for your time.
Regards,
Jihane
Go to their websites.. Check the Ritz Carlton, Wyndham Sugar Bay, Westin, Marriot, etc. I know a couple have run ads in the paper this week. Call their Human Resources Departments. Good Luck.
Matt
The Ritz Carlton website - make sure you select the St.Thomas one - has a very thorough online application submission capability - including the chance to submit a cover letter.
I stumbled on a job fair for the Westin on St.John this morning, all the jobs were not of the level you or I would want, but when I asked about other positions I was encouraged to submit by mail.
The address is: The Westin Resort St.John P.O. Box 8310, St. John U.S.Virgin Islands 00831 (340-693-8000) Perhaps call and ask for Human Resources and see what they'd suggest.
This is low season so I'm not sure that the hiring picture is any where close to normal.
Thank you guys for the fast responses on my hectic job search. I will check the websites for the hotels you have suggested me, and confirm with the human resource. One more quick question....Do you know if the hotels in the island offer staff lodging? if not, what are the price range for a studio apt.? I look forward on hearing from you soon. thank you again for the help.

Jihane

I wan tto fill out the application.
https://www.ritzcarlton.com/corporate/employment/search
There is an area to scroll down to find the property you are looking for....I assume St.Thomas....you can also attach your resume to the application. It can take a while for them to get back to you but you'll have a good idea of what they have available.
try that! They update the jobs almost everyday. I hope this helps you.
Good Luck!
Amanda
