Job Hunting advice

Hello everyone.

I have a question on job hunting. I plan on starting off on St. Croix and would prefer to stay there, but getting a job quickly is near the top of my to do list. I was wondering how feasible it is to apply on both St. Croix and St. Thomas?
Are employers in St. Thomas willing to consider someone who lives on St. Croix, and visa versa?
I looks like the ferry would cost $77 round trip, so I would not be able to go back and forth too often.

I will be looking for an I/T position, but will be taking the advice I have learned from here to take just about anthing to start out until I find what I'm looking for.

Thanks!

Darrin

IT is very general...are you a software developer, web developer, network admin, database admin...you might want to check the http://usvieda.org/ web site. Click the "Beneficiaries" link and send out some resumes.

Thanks for the reply.

I'm looking for a PC hardware/software support position. I have owned my own PC company and have 15+ years in computer hardware support. I will check out the link you provided.

You might private message jnrhome or Becky R from this board - he's an IT guy here on STX who has been pounding the pavement, beating the bushes, and having no luck what-so-ever. Perhaps together you guys could start something (ie-small business??); or at least share that 'techno-talk'. Good Luck.
