job contacts, jeep/truck wanted
Hello everyone,
Have only posted twice in the past 3 years of being logged into this forum but read it religiously every day. My husband has secured a position as a property caretaker on STT (far west end/Botany Bay). This will keep him busy and give us a nice cottage to live in; I will be looking for work upon our arrival August 7th. During our PMV in June, I made a few contacts and keep track of the Island Trader and other resources to scout out jobs but I also know it never hurts to have a connection! I am a 41 year old massage therapist/personal trainer/Pilates/yoga instructor; I have managed several facilities and owned my own business for 5 years therefore could run a Spa or fitness facility. I would also be fine just finding a facility to be a massage therapist (resort, possibly, independent massage therapy facility, preferably). I would love to find work in my field but am very willing to find a job to pay the bills in the interim, if necessary. Have a resume if I need to send it to anyone or will have it in hand when we move, if anyone has any connections as to whom I could give one to.
Also, we are looking for a 4WD Jeep Wrangler or Toyota Tacoma pick-up truck - 1999 to 2003-10 to 15k price range. Have looked on the classifieds here but thought I would put the word out on the forum here as well.
I look forward to meeting some of you when we arrive; myself and hubby will be going to the Chili Cook-off at Bolongo August 26th if anyone else out there will be attending???
Thanks in advance for the assistance!

With all the spas, etc. down here I'd be surprised if you have problems getting a job. You might want to post your request for the car/truck on the Classifieds (if you haven't already.) Click on Forum List & you'll see that section.
Good luck!
Thanks, Trade. I have not posted on the classifieds but will do so now. Are there any bulletin boards on STT that post job info? I know of Connections on St. John but don't know about STT? I will continue my online newspaper and hotel website search but would love to know of all avenues possible.
Appreciate it!

Some of the mail places probably have bulletin boards. A friend used to work at the spa at the Reef a few years ago & really enjoyed it. She moved down-island but definitely check out that one. There's also Journeys Spa at Wyndham Sugar Bay Resort (among others.)
Thanks so much! Have both of those on my list to investigate...
