JFL V.4
Its time for the CEO to be replaced. This is the second doctor that has filed a lawsuit in the last couple months. Imagine the legal fees. Dr. Appleyard did and now we are seeing Dr. Titus. The irony is that they hired a doctor (Nedra Dodds) who had two bodies on her, and fired two extremely qualified doctors.
No wonder people travel to the mainland for care. Good grief when will this end..
The fish rots from the head.
Kendall Griffith is a jackass for agreeing to be CEO.
An under budgeted hospital, with no board, hostile unions, a governor that was determined to "dis-govern" the hospital. To purposely get them to lose accreditation and starve them until they felt willing to be made subservient to RLS and beg to be taken over. Except they were decertified instead, with the report calling out the obvious abuse by the local government.
Yes. Griffith should not be there, maybe. But who would agree to take the job?
"JFL's CEO Bypasses Board Again to Fire Another CFO"
Chucky is spooky... This lady doesn't fire from all cylinders... and Griffith has not clue what he is doing... He is getting paid $300K to learn... In the meantime, the health of STX residents is in this pathetic guy's hands... He may be a good sugeon, he is no CEO...
The same way they went running like chickens without heads to contract a law-firm to "help" them with CSM, they should put their heads back in place and hire a proper CEO with experience... It is ridiculous to keep blaming Nelson when the hospital got worse in 2014...
It is good to know they paid that law firm to present an action plan that was not requested in the first place...
The circus is in town... it never left in the first place...

To be fair, he did a good thing in firing the latest CFO, who was incompetent. The selection process needs improvement. =

I read the 112-page report, just to get an idea of what would cause a decertification, and...just wow. The facts in the report are haunting, especially the patient incidents. I pray I will never need to make a visit to the hospital. =|

That is NOT the point... It is the blatant disregard for ALL procedures and due process... Shoddy hiring AND improper procedure to fire personnel.. That is not the job of a proper manager, but one of a person who has NO CLUE on how to manage...
In the meantime, the health of an island is in their hands... This is NOT the time to improvise...

Whoa there, horsey.
Until our government (governor and senators) learn to prioritize spending and hire the right people with knowledge and expertise, things such as this will continue to happen.
Instead, they insist on spending to garner votes, such as the recent gifting of 10 acres of government land, $350k, and free rent indefinitely to an American legion post as well as their gifting to various and sundry pet causes.
There is no proper vetting process that is visible to the public, as shown by their willingness to jump into bed with companies with no proven track records and principles with shady pasts. (Alliance, tibar and summer's end come to mind.)

"Fired legal counsel for Luis sues hospital, CEO" http://virginislandsdailynews.com/news/fired-legal-counsel-for-luis-sues-hospital-ceo-1.1776531
"Unfortunately, Kendall Griffith is a wonderful human being, but he should not be running the hospital," said Lee Rohn, who is Russell's attorney. "The problems that came out and caused the crisis from CMS are the exact same problems that Royette Russell as legal counsel for the board and hospital was telling him he could not continue to do without getting decertification."
Wow, what a can of worms! Given all the problems that jfl has, it is hard to understand why Dr. Griffith is still in charge! Oh that's right, he's "chucky' s" choice.

And the real irony here is that Chuky's lawyer is representing Russell against Griffith! I swear you can't make this stuff up. Bravo to Lee Rohn. If there is blood in the water then forget allegiances, and make sure you get your piece.
Not sure I'd want Lee Rohn defending me, given the simple mistakes she made defending "chucky" for which we can all be thankful.
ive been following the chucky saga, what simple mistakes did she make? not sure i am following you alana.
They never asked for time to "cure" the defect of her eligibility.
