I just stepped out onto the front porch - gallery here on STX - before locking up and going to bed. It is a perfect night. Full moon bright enough to cast a shadow, an almost cloudless sky. The temp is around 70 and the humidity is low. There is a slight breeze, so I'll have to find a blanket for the bed. We had the trees trimmed this weekend and I can see all the way to Hovensa on the south shore.
It is a reminder of why Ric and I are here.

OK Linda ,rub it in. I'll be on stx April18-may 2 for my first pmv. just 2 more weeks. raised in Maine, moved to southwest Florida in 1979. have had enough of what this small town has become. see you all soon.

Rub it in is right! I'm in Kansas City now. Thirty degrees now, with a high of 47 today. Possible snow tomorrow. What I would give to be in your shoes!

Yeah, we were congratulating ouselves that it only got down to 42 last night. The living room was a balmy 54 when I woke up this morning and lit a fire. We can't get to stx fast enough! My wife graduates from Oregon State in June and then we're on our way. Spent the whole day yesterday working on the house to get it ready to sell. Apperaiser will be here in two hours.
Weather forecast says it'll get up into the high 60s today. Whoo! Springtime in the Willamette Valley.

Ok Ok, Michael H: Hi there. I just had to put a note in here.
I was raised in Maine. I moved to Southwest Florida in 1997.
It has gone so far down and different than it was 10 years ago that the most recent decision is to get to STX and stay there. After many vists to the USVI and 2 pmvs to STX, we would like to live there also.

it has really changed since 1979 here in southwest fl.. a few years ago the sheriff of lee county was warning tourist about coming here because of crime. it hasn't got any better. going to get down in the low 50's this weekend, never been to stx but doing my first pmv april 18 - may 2.

Michael should have a great two weeks on 'the island.' Although that is not enough time to see and experience so much that is there. It is a big little island.

because it is my first pmv and I'm still working that's all the time i can do for now. if the island's for me will have plenty of time for the island experience. a developer wants my property here in florida for a high rise so that is being sold, no matter what i do.
