Hopefully, it's better than the piece of garbage we presently are forced to use.

I'm planning on purchasing a wireless phone and transferring my long time local phone number to it and can take it with me when I leave.

Yes, I have a Arris box at the house that took over 2 weeks of bitching constantly to customer service to get. Dont expect problems to magically disappear with new box. The are way more sensitive to line noise than the Motorola boxes. Plus side is the batteries last. Amazing how that works with equipment that didnt spend ten years in a warehouse before being sold to Innovative like he original boxes did. When they rolled the original boxes out they knew most of the batteries were in need of replacement but did nothing until they had to. Innovative lied and misrepresented to an almost criminal degree to the PSC about EVO from the very beginning...........

Bought my AT&T wireless home phone today and retained my number that I've had for decades. I'll be returning my evil/evo box tomorrow and canceling Innovative telephone service. Actually haven't been able to use it as hasn't been working for a couple weeks (new battery as of a couple months ago) but I've been so busy packing up and getting ready to move, I kept forgetting to call it in but then neither do I have time to wait around for their service tech to eventually show up.

I can take the AT&Tphone system with me and it'll work whether I'm here or in FL.

You can get discounts if you use your AARP card.
My salesperson/tech, Nailah, at AT&T in Crown Bay was terrific.

Went into Innovative this morning to discontinue my service, return the non functioning evo box and transfer my number to my new AT&T wireless phone. Took about an hour and 15 minutes, more waiting to be seen than actually being seen but the rep was very nice and helpful.

I saw the new box. It's much larger and a rectangular shape.
Apparently some changes are going on as I was told company would be changing hands, (again) but the employees have not been told who would be taking over next.

Oh, if you've lived here as long as I have or have had telephone service since the 70's, you'll never get any deposit back as they have no record of it!

Done!
