There's a tropical storm on the way so naturally Channels 2 & 8 aren't working on the cable. Neither is the weather channel. To add insult to injury, my hometown college football team is on ESPN and it's not working either.

Why anyone has cable down here is beyond my reasoning because Innovative as a cable TV, phone, & internet provider is beyond a doubt, an absolute disaster.

With a generator and Dish Satillite, no matter if electric power is on or not, I can still watch TV.

add to the irony.....you live less than a 1/2 mile from Alan from Paradise Satellite.
ESPN & The Weather Channel in HD
and now Dish gives you all the networks (minus CBS)
its a no brainer.....for a guy with a brain

Just received a call from an individual that signed up for Innovative. Waited weeks for installation. It worked for one day. Cable is out and the wind hasn't even begun to blow. Talk about Blowing!!

ric, sounds to me its time to do some housework if you can't watch tv. i have to agree with bombi we switched to dish and it was the best move we ever made. we even had issues with cable when we lived on the mainland.

Some of our customers keep basic Innovative for about $20 a month for the local channels and hook up Dish to watch everything else.
Before the conversion to digital you didn't require an Innovative box to accomplish this. Now you do.

Couldn't agree more.

For internet, go Broadband VI. They are the winner hands down. For TV, simply learn to torrent your fave shows (which is totally legal, BTW, it's MOVIES that are illegal) using your aforementioned internet connection. No, it doesn't work for sporting events, but for that you can just go to Sharkey's or many other bars.

Dish packages now start at $19.99 for 55 channels and include networks. (tu) Compare that to basic cable.
Hard to beat!!!

Innovate has LOST my business on my local phone which I just added a cell to my plan plan and I got a 340 number. Total cost was 7.50. Savings was 23/month. Down side I need to watch my minues as we only have 1500 and use the other cell number for business.

Innovative has LOST my internet business as I went to Broadband and the service has been good. Price was a little less for a higher speed.

Now my attack will be Innovatives cable business. Need a good solution. But it is a complex problem.

THEN I WILL BE INNOVATIVE FREE! And I am woking on getting WAPA FREE!

Then all those money grubbing bastards can go to hell!

We called the Puerto Rico office a few weeks ago and they informed us that they are no longer taking orders for installations in the VI.
The worst part of that is existing Direct customers can't get service if something goes wrong with their system!!!!

There is a fella for service calls - Sibius Michel. He can be reached at 340-244-2227. We worked together at DirecTV and he is available to assist.

DirecTV is selling prepaid boxes here. Basically you buy the box then purchase cards to add time to the programming. It's the programming you see out of PR but no local channels again. PM me if anyone is interested.

i wouldn't be surprised to see a DirecTV office open after the first of the year. The company who was handling it did go out of business here but the parent company is negotiating with a new provider.
