Indigo has changed...
March 1 Indigo changed ownership. The new owners are the Old Stone Farmhouse folks. On March 1 the usual Indigo menu was available. On March 8 the menu was completely different i.e. venison, duck, etc. (td) Not a single item from the old menu was on the new menu, and we were told the menu will change regularly. Indigo staff and and others in the STT restaurant community mentioned that the new Indigo folks are trying to fix something that isn't broken. That is their prerogative. Meanwhile, I and other local Indigo regulars are looking for a new restaurant to frequent. 🙁
How stupid. I suspect they'll change it back or go under. If they wanted to do that type menu why didn't they just stay at Old Stone Farm House?
By the way, where did the old Indigo owners go?
A little change of discussion but restaurant/new ownership related....I just heard today that The North Drop was bought by the owners of Cafe Amici....anyone know about this??? Never been to Cafe Amici...heard it is good but pricey. Like the North Drop because it is (relatively) easy for us to get to (we are on the FAR West End of STT), no tourists (it took us about 3 or 4 times going there to figure out the "short cut" from the West End) and decent prices (plus Thursday Crab Night and the Flying Fish app!!!). Hope we can still get seafood on the menu and really hope it is good Italian food (hubby is Italian, very picky about Italian food!!! If you tasted the food his mother, aunt and sister make, you would be really picky, too!!!). Any Northsiders have any details??
The old Indigo owners are taking a break, visiting various family for a few months, deciding where they will undertake their next venture. I very much hope they choose to remain on STT.
It seems like everyone wants to go the Donald Trump route around here (I can sell 10 glasses of OJ for a dollar or 1 glass for $10- It's easier to sell the one.) I am tired of the great, reasonable places going by the wayside.
