I would give anything to move back to St. Thomas...I lived there in the 70's and graduated from High School there...I would give anything to live there again, it was the one time in my life I felt at peace. I know it has changed since the 70's but its the feeling it gave me that and still does. I would be there in a flash if I could...anyone who gets the chance to live there take a long deep breath for me....

Laura: The Virgin Islands are always looking for her native sons and daughters to return! So many leave for school and opportunity that there is a serious brain drain. Why don't you come back?

East Ender... I would be there if I could....but from all I have read on this message board jobs are hard to come by...I am leaving the town I live in now so I can find a job...but thanks for asking....take a deep breath of salt air for me...

Laura: There are some jobs that are NOT hard to come by...there are openings for physical therapists.There are openings for nurses. There are openings for teachers. There are always openings for hard-working, dependable, honest people.

Well I have the honest and dependable down, its the professions that work is available in that I don't. I truely do miss it there, even though it has been forever ago since I have been there. I lived on Water Island some of the time we lived there, and then also on St. T. It was a peaceful time for me there. I knew the minute I stepped off the plane here in Kansas that it was the biggest mistake I would ever make...the only good that came out of it was a son. St. T was the last place my father wanted to go before he passed away many years ago from cancer, it was not too long after he returned that he passed but at least it made his remaining days happy.
