I think WAPA is screwing us over.
Every time I see the subject line on this thread, I say to myself: "You THINK?" :@)
Last months bill was fine. 219 bucks. This month bill with zero change in usage went up 150 bucks. Also can't login to pay the damn thing. Never seen anyone reading the meter.
Nearly a 70% increase in bill. So much for the lies we've been told.
"Oops...An unexpected error has occurred!"
I think they still take the online accounting application offline each night around midnight, give or take.
Hi again....
Great news, I have found, purchased and received a compliant meter system for monitoring WAPA's new smart meter, certifiable in the state of California for sales transactions within state standards for commercial electricity usage!
That said, I am testing my meter ASAP, then I will have a positive answer as to the "screw status" of WAPA, either positive or negative.
Past history WAPA made an extra 20+% for at least 10 years off my older meter...
Stay tuned for more details...

if its a smart meter they can read it from about 500 feet away via wireless connection (they are SUPPOSE to be able to read it at Wapa, but they'd have to have them all configured correctly.. so... haha)

Details please. Are you talking about checking the calibration of your meter or actually monitoring it remotely yourself?

he's got an accurate "usage" monitor that he can cross reference with the WAPA meter to see if they line up in numbers.
it's a common way to check the utilities meters (not uncommon for them to be off)
