i dont hate them per say but i sure hate it when they park in the middle of the street and then when you honk your horn for 10 minutes in hopes that someone will be kind enough to move their car out of the way so you can go home, they look at you like you did something wrong. no consideration what so ever. we have three families that live in this building and we are always getting blocked. can we legally have their cars towed at their expense??? it wouldnt be so bad if when we want them to get out of our way so we can go home, if they would come out right away and not look at us like we are all the devil. luckily last year when we had two neighbors die within two months of each other and the ambulance had to be called they were not parked in the road.
ok i think that is my rant for the day

Sorry, what does this have to do with the Women's Coalition?

they are the ones who are always blocking the road so the three families who live in the building down from them have to blast the horn in hopes someone will come out and move their car

Some things never change! I lived by the Women's Coalition 5 years ago and we had the same problem all the time. We would even go into the office and ask them to move and they would insist that the car did not belong to anyone there and that they would "never" be so rude as to block the street. Sure enough 10 to 20 minutes later one of the "ladies" we spoke with would come out and get in the car and drive off. The staff there has NO consideration for the people who live in the area.

I'm confused. The Women's Coalition on STX, right? Do they have 2 locations? The place I am familiar with has a fence around it, parking and an industrial building behind it. Or am I talking about their thrift store, and you are talking about an office somewhere?

You are thinking of the thrift store and this happens at their office building in Christiansted.

and boy do they look at the men like they are devils. we even had the cops go there and things were ok for awhile but they think the road is their personal parking lot. and yes it does take a long time for them to move their lazy butts to move the car. they are too lazy to park on another street where people can get around them, i guess the hill is too steep or less than a block is just too far to walk???

Try parking behind them and make them come find you when they want to leave.

Video tape it and take it to the A.G.s office. First get a police report though.

Yup, Betty, I was going to suggest the same thing. If you time-stamp the video and show how long the vehicle remains AFTER someone has gone in to request a move... and you get more than one occurrance, I think it would be hard for either the police or the papers to ignore.
