Just curious at the number of people shopping at Walmart from STX, I'm buying a bit of groceries every week, it's even quite addictive when you look at the prices

What kinda groceries are you getting??

I gave up after countless attempts of shopping and ending up with shipping restrictions...

Maybe they changed their policy again?

Well, we use to order a huge order once a month and then they changed their shipping policies and now we get nothing.
I just tried it and still it is restricted on every item I entered!

There are times when I miss home but the cost of groceries & utilities are 2 important factors that cause me to not rush back home. When I heard about the shipping ban I felt bad for those who actually shopped at Walmart and could no longer do so. When my mom visits, she drags me to the store & a normal :20min shopping trip turns into an hour at Walmart. :-X 😉 In almost every isle she says "Look at this! Only 1.99 and back at home it's for 4.59! They love to rip we off man" I send her "care packages" from time to time. Virgin Islanders in the states are feeling for you guys!

Any idea when the new Walgreen's in STT will open? Are they building one in STX as well?
Do you think their prices will be reasonable and give K-mart a run for their money?
I do so need a real FL shopping mall/grocery store fix with reasonable prices!

Personally, I don't think their prices will be that much cheaper. They may say that the low prices Walgreen offers may put other local companies out of business but that's just my opinion.

So Badbee....why don't you just share the secret with the rest of this forum!

No one on STX has been able to order food from Walmart since November!

The only way it works is if you ship it somewhere else and then pay to ship it here!

I heard some mention of putting the state in as "virginia" but putting hte correct zip code in... since the post office works on zip code & Walmart apparently filters out the Virgin Islands baste on "state" it works?

Maybe yes, maybe no... I've never tried it, but hopefully thats the secret; cause I hate stingy people that dont share!

Yep, have tried that but no luck. It doesn work on many sites in order for them to validate a credit card. Really miss being able to order from Walmart as there were some serous savings to be had on a lot of everyday items. We ordered some grain free dog treats, as we always do, from Pet Direct. It took the order and gave us a shipping confirmation. After a couple of weeks, we had not received them so I contacted them and they said that they also no longer ship to the VI but that their dstrubutor mad a 'goof' and shipped it! Maybe Walmart can make a 'goof' too!

Does walmart normally do free shipping? If so what about getting it shipped to a friend or family and forwarding it on? or is it to much of an added cost to go that route? Maybe I should start a lil side business sending orders down to the rock. *-)

they used to now they will not even ship certain items to us. you should be able to have a friend or vi cargo get it to you. i have done neither.
i order from other places and i now make my own laundry detergent.
