how come no one cares about this stuff when it happens?
What would it take then?...... Are you or your family members gonna be next to be killed while crossing the street?
Hey new people - Dont move here if you cant accept this might happen to you while you live here in the VI.
What the hell?....what would it take then?
.
and this doesn't happen in other places....like the states????
maybe you should read the original news story when this accident happened. It's not about being killed while crossing the street that is the problem, it's the double standard applied to the police and government officials here. In the original story, it was clear excessive speed and no sirens, no lights was the culprit, failure to follow simple protocol. Just feel for the victims family.
I think a lot of people care. The ones that matter though, seem to care more about not rocking the boat, or torquing off a policeman with anger management issues on a very small island. You can run, but you can't hide.
Just turn the other way in other words, and don't ask questions.
Feel bad that we live in a world where this is accepted by a community of people.
Its just rushed to be forgotten.

I read it, and it makes my blood boil. I've had twice as many encounters on stx with angry, belligerent, over-the-line thug cops as I have with crime. But what's to be done?
Because the...." MAN"(cops and criminals).... is the son, brother ,father,uncle,step-dad,cousin,in-law,neighbor,friend,associate,"boyfriend",etc...etc...etc...of the attorney,judge,Governor,prosecutor.............wink wink.... that's how it works:-(
This stuff does happen in the states. I live in Buffalo, NY and theres a town here to where almost all the cops are crooked cops that work in that area. Doesnt matter what gender, nationality, or race you are theyre just straight up crooked. So it doesnt just happen on whichever island you live on, maybe it just seems to happen more because you dont have that many residents.
I wasn't debating or saying that it doesn't happen in other places in the world.....

a place where people look the other way or just keep their mouth shut.....and "accept" it.
.....until it happens to them or someone they know.
My opinion, looks like Palmtree0927 is on and the same as Newbies (don't rememnber the #'s)
Maybe it is girlfriend or maybe he learned his lesson about attitude.
Just compare their posts.
I don't know --------- Palmtree is a pretty good speller .
Exit Zero, spelling has improved somewhat. Maybe he took the advice and using a computer and not a phone or his girlfriend is a better speller.
Both posters are from Buffalo, NY. and Newbie disappeared and all of a sudden Palmtree pops up.
Like I said it is my opinion, but if I think I'm right 100%.
He still wants advice, but with his previous attitude we stopped and now to receive advice made a new account. JMO
