House Tours 2012 where's the tickets?

Heard they are holding back due to death of Bob Johnson.
People don't want to put their houses on the tour .....are afraid of home invasion at a later date....
Heard this just three days ago from someone whose house is on the tour......

Was this just to show people their expensive houses? Seems silly to me to advertise even without the tragedy - and anywhere, not just STX.

In Texas we had home tours but it was houses that were for sale - the "Parade of Homes." I've never heard of just showing houses to show them off. :S

I liked to see what people did to their houses to make it a special island retreat. Many of the houses weren't fancy or expensive, it just their home and they were proud of it.

It is a fund raiser for Landmark. They charge for the tours. Not free and did not see any unsavory types last year.
I called to volunteer to help with parking again this year but never heard back.

Just had a call from the lady at the Landmark Soc.
Yes they have had the issues you mentioned with people pulling out. However there will be a tour this Wed. They are going to place in C-sted and then out to Mt Wash (out West) to the Aires plantion home.
That is a great tour( have not been in the house yet but the grounds are fantastic ).
Call and sign up, it's for a good cause.

is wednesday the only day it is taking place? my parents would love this but arrive on island thursday! darn
