Home inspector
I just made an offer on a house in st. Thomas! Does anyone have any recommendations on a home inspector to use out there or one NOT to use! Thanks in advance!
I do not think there are any “Home Inspectors” in the USVI the same way you think of them in the U.S.. Perhaps I am wrong, but you are pretty much stuck with the “ buyer beware” approach when buying property in the Virgin Islands..
I think the best you are going to get is to have your realtor ck it out.

There are home inspectors on STT. Ask your Realtor for a recommendation.
Keith Schnell is one.
Another fellow, Herman is very good but can't remember his last name.
There certainly are professional home inspectors in the VI. I think they are required to be licensed. Mine was. They should be InterNACHI® members. Check them out at Certified Home Inspectors near St Thomas, 00802, USVI I wouldn't necessarily trust the recommendations of the realtor unless you really trust the realtor. They want you to buy the property. You can also look up licensed home inspectors on the DLCA web site.
You can ask for recommendations and choose your own.
Sure, Realtors want you to buy the house but a happy buyer is the best advertising.
