We were wondering which island is more advanced went it comes to providing reliable high speed internet/broadband service. We are looking at St. Thomas to relocate to. We need a provider that is pretty consistent in having the service running most of the time. Any help you can give us would be great.

Check the board this question has been discussed in numerous threads.
You will find that speeds are no where what you find stateside using a cable modem and the cost is higher.

I have friends who have VI Powernet through Innovative. It's DSL & they're pleased & don't seem to have problems. After the holidays, I'm going to look into it.
Choice at www.choice.vi won't work in the area where I live on STT so I don't know about that one.

I have used Innovative for 3yrs and rarely been down. If you live in a area that provides both and it is important enough then I would get both Choice wireless and Innovative DSL. That way you have a back up and peace of mind.
I have both Innovative and Choice cable coming into my home and it works out great.
