Heard it has been shut down - true?

H2O has pulled out, I know, due to "complications with the hotel."

I heard a rumor that the health dept came in and shut it down after the Secret Service were there. Again - a rumor.

I heard it wasn't the health department, it was the inspector general's office after the Secret Service and Biden complained about the incredible noise from a wild party during Carnival. They (H2O owners and guests) have been throwing down there lately. But this is also a rumor on my part. Either way, something happened - not sure if the resort is closing/closed too, have only heard about H2O.

Btw the former owners consider being shut down by the secret service an epic success. 😉

I live in the neighborhood. Not sure what happened, have heard different rumours. So glad though. Bad crowds hanging ou there. It could be such an amazing place with good management. It's a great beach with a great view. Hope it makes a come back.

is the whole resort shut down or just the restaurant/bar ?

Why not just call them and ask? If no one answers during the day, you can make an assumption from there.

I talked to one of the owners of the resort the other day. The resort was running the restaurant up until 4 or 5 months ago. They decided to close the restaurant, then one of the employees asked if he could lease it from them to stay open. The new owner threw a well attended beach party a couple weeks ago that caused a lot of turmoil with the hotel guests, but I am unaware of issues with the health department or any other agencies.

The hotel is open, and the restaurant was open last week. I went by there around 7pm on Tuesday and it was closed, but they may have just closed early. I really enjoy that place, and like the staff and owners, hopefully they will get things turned around.

They're closed for good. I'm friends with the owner on FB.
