Folding under tempation, we pull up to a shadded spot under a tree. I tell hub what I want & he gets out.........small talks as he checks out the goods. Ahhhh, he returns with my baggie stuffed w/home grown!!!! This shall be a treat & consumption will begin tonight!
After returning home, I take my bag into the house & spead the goods out on the counter, then breathe in it's organic scents while checking out textures and quality. HHHMMMMMmmmmm something isn't right about me goods!!!! Seems to be a lil too green & more compacted than I like it. :-X
I prep it anyway & eagerly bring it to my lips awaiting the explosion of organic flavors......it's been soooooo long since I've had good home grown!!!! WTF...........this isn't home grown!!! They tricked me!!!!!
Ha ha............what did you think we bought???? Friggin green as grass tomatoes, is what we bought & they were hard, tasteless replicas!!!
So much for that shade tree. Usually we get wonderful produce, not this time......:X
But send a man to pick out tomatos.............lol. Another lesson learned!

I don't know if this was intentional or not but tell me I wasn't the only person who had to go 2/3 of the way through to figure out you weren't talking about marijuana 😉

They were red outside just like you buy at the store................picked at peek greeness...........and they turn red, but still hard & tasteless.
If he bought actual green tomatoes...............I would have fried em up!!!!
They looked soooooooo beautiful , I should have got out of the truck, but my foot was tired. (still healing from a sprain). And my hub is a city boy thru & thru so he wouldn't have known home grown from mass produced.
Oh and yeah, this was ment to be a joke in making y'all think I was talking bouts the wind crying Mary...............lol:D

Is that what that song is about? I had to look it up....

"The song is said to have been inspired when Hendrix and his then girlfriend, Kathy Etchingham, had an argument over her cooking; after she stormed out of their apartment, Hendrix wrote "The Wind Cries Mary", as Mary was Etchingham's middle name."

Maybe it was the tomatoes....

EngRMP............fight w/his girl friend.........Interesting.......reading lyrics now
Mary Jane.............blue (smoke) lights................wind crying Mary.
It's a Hendrix master piece from the drug crazed 60's & in order to keep young folks from trying the evils of weed (Mary Jane) of course the historians will claim it was a fight & her middle name was Mary. Not saying there wasn't a fight, perhaps many, but just in my own opinion, I think it was a medifore (spelling).

OK, "Hendrix masterpiece" is redundant isn't it?... they're all masterpieces - it's Hendrix!

Yeah, I like your interpretation better, anyway... what does Wiki know...

And, not sure you can blame the hubby... especially if you told him he was going to be smoking tomatoes...
