Hey Linda--14" snow in Louisville!
For all you transplanted Kentuckians, be glad you're in STX. Kentucky is currently undergoing its most severe snowstorm in years. Louisville expectds 15+ inches when done. Here in the Elizabethtown area (40 miles south of Louisville) it is the same. State of emergency has been declared in several counties with more to follow. Last month we had 70 degree weather and tornadoes! Winter has been interesting here, for sure.

I just talked to my daughter and she certainly wasn't interested in hearing about how chilly (69) it was at the house this morning!!!
Her girls want to go out in the snow and play, but they left their gloves in the car and dad has to dig the car out before they can get gloves and go outside. When I called there was lots of yelling and crying going on.
I miss my dad and kids and grandkids, BUT NOT TODAY!!
stxdreamer, I love the snow. Not the slush when it is melting, or the ice, but when everything is covered in that beautiful white blanket. Every year growing up in Germany we had a"white Christmas" and I remember spending the days sledging and playing with the dogs in the snow. A couple of years ago I went to Colorado, and it was so beautiful I cried! There is no perfect place on this earth. Everywhere, just like everyone, has something different to offer.
And then to top it off, Louisville loses at the buzzer to Georgetown. Oh the pain....
