Help Earthquake Victims of Nepal
Hello! I am knocking at your kind and generous hearts to extend even a small financial assistance to the earthquake victims of Nepal. After the April 25 magnitude 7.8 earthquake that killed more than 8,000 people, aftershocks are still felt almost every day. Again, an earthquake with a magnitude of 7.3 hit the country just a few hours ago which caused people rushing outside their homes. The earthquake killed atleast 40 people. I was in Nepal 5 years ago, I saw how beautiful the country and its people are. Now there are just rubbles and ruins everywhere. I come from the Philippines, but I have a wonderful Nepali family, I love them with all of my heart. I have heard from them that they have been sleeping in tents on the open ground for many days now, with the very cold weather, rainy nights, limited food and water supply. Their situation is unimaginable. There is also a fear of contracting diseases from lack of facilities and the risks posed by the rotting bodies of the victims buried under the rubbles of concrete. So I am selling some of my women's accessories to raise funds to help my Nepali family and their community. (bangles, bracelets, necklace and clothes) I am not putting a price on any of these items, you can take any of them for a donation. You can give me your email so I can show you the pictures of the items. Thank you! God bless your generosity! (I am also looking for any Nepalese/Nepali community on St. Croix, If you know any, please let me know)
Irrelevant to this forum. The vi needs help too.
There's a post already on under the coconut tree forum.
Updated it this morning.
It offers a list of reputable charities and organizations to give help/donations for both humans and animals.

Thanks for your reply, I understand that the VI need help too. However, you couldve just simply ignored this post if you didnt wanna help, no pressure. If I could come up with funds, it's good, I'm thankful. If I didnt, then atleast I did what I cud 🙂
Thanks Alana33.... 🙂
I would hope that were we faced with similar devastation that Nepal is experiencing, that people would reach out and help us.
The VI may need help but we're not devastated, living in fields, with little to no shelters, afraid to be in remaining buildings, struggling for food, water, medical aid and morning the loss of our loved ones, waiting for what aid may come our way and wondering where to start to rebuild what's left.
There but for the grace of God.........
I do hope that people here on the forum will take a minute to donate thru reliable and proven organizations that are on the ground in Nepal to provide aid.

I'm amused Alana how you point out that there is another forum for donations yet you continue to post to this one, the one for information for those wishing to move to the VI.
CruzanIron - Because we all know how ALL of the posts on this forum are directly related to information about moving to the VI. Give me a break.
