Does anyone know if Air Center Helicopters is closed for good or just for the slow season?

My understanding is yes. The local pilots however have acquired their own helicopter and will be starting up a new company shortly.

Ronnie is correct, however, keep your eyes and ears peeled for a new company with a bright, yellow Heli!!

From a friend in the STT Aviation community:
Yes, ACH is closed for good. Owner flew in from Texas on a private Lear Jet to tell his employees of 20+ years that the company was loosing money and they would have to close at the end of the month (this was June). No severance, no insurance, nothing.
Nicolas and Maria, husband and wife pilots who used to run the company, now are on their own. They have a bright yellow Robinson, and hope to add more. They have taken over the phone number of the old ACH, so they can still be reached for bookings and such there.
