have you been to the hospital
Has any one been to the hospital on St thomas? Was the service good what was your empression of the place
Hello Jeff -
I have been there several times, fortunately not very often so I don't have a lot of comments. Can only comment on the situations I was there for; clinic for vacinations - the nurses were very plesant, very considerate, explained everything based on where I said I was traveling - what I should have ect. Slight adverse reaction was experienced and a doctor came promptly and was reassuring and professional. Positive experience. The birth of a friends baby - positive, the nurses seemed very attentive and pleasant. Other experiences were years and years ago - things have changed - of the long ago experiences I recall one nurse being really nasty and arguementative with a relative of mine - but another nurse intervened and was pleasant and the doctor was very good. I have heard complaints about the emergency room, just in terms of long waits.

I know it was a long time ago but I had to take my wife there for an allergic reaction she was having back in 95. They took care of her quickly and professionally.
We'd use them again. LOL

Jeff: There are a lot of people who have bad memories of the hospital from the bad old days. Since becoming semi-autonomous 5 years ago there have been huge positive changes. Like I said to Elle, it is STILL not like the states, but, like the Beatles song, "getting better all the time". Heck, just getting the horrible pink and blue paint covered up was a leap! BTW, did you have an in person interview for your job? Have you visited before?
Don't know about STT, but I was pleased with an ER visit to the hospital on STX. Very professional care, very nice people.
Had my interview over the phone.
