HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE !

And many happy returns! After almost 30 years of having a landline telephone which only twice went out for a short period and made it through even Marilyn with nary a twitch, mine died last Thursday so all over Christmas I was incommunicado (of course I now have DSL so computer access was likewise blacked out)! Dinosaur that I am I don't have a cellphone and, when I finally borrowed a 'phone, discovered that friends had worried about not being able to reach me, didn't know my new residential location and had called the hospital to make sure I wasn't holed up there. Yikes. I felt badly to have worried people but at least I know now that when I do croak I hopefully won't be finally found festering weeks later with my cats feeding off my face. (td)

Yes, I danced with Innovative which was somewhat painful - I HATE getting teeth-sucked when I'm brimming with diplomacy - but after calling in the Big Guns yesterday out of sheer frustration, Innovative was out here literally within minutes and it was discovered that the glitch was in the box right outside the house and not part of the general brief outage which occurred in the aftermath of last Thursday's power outage. Yee Ha!
